The rainstorm
Last Tuesday was warm and rainless. Ben and Sara were walking home with the old book.
They were talking about the book when the first raindrop fell. "I wasn't carrying my umbrella," said Sara.
In one minute the rainfall became a rainstorm. Ben pulled on his raincoat and held the book under it.
Thunder was rolling over the town when they found shelter. They were standing in a doorway, dripping wet.
"What were you doing when it started?" Dad asked later. "We were running past the puddles," Ben said.
Inside the book a folded paper was waiting. A rainbow was standing over the roofs when they opened it: a drawing of hills and a small footbridge.
